How does a project start?

A free 15-minute call. If it is a fit, a paid plan comes next, before any camera comes out.

What does it cost?

Every project is scoped on the call, never from a rate card. You get the exact number before anything is booked.

What if we do not know what we need yet?

That is normal. Tell me what you make and where it needs to show up. I bring the plan to the call.

I wrote my brief with ChatGPT. Is that OK?

Yes. Before you send it, ask the AI four things: how many set-ups, how long, what crew and what equipment.

Where do you shoot?

Often on location at your premises, close to production. Or post me your product and I shoot it and send back the finished content. I am based in Brentford, West London.

How much product should I send?

Four of each, minimum. Usually one of the four is not good enough to shoot, and you only find out under the light.

Do you do food styling?

Styling guidance is part of every shoot. Building and dressing the food for the camera is a separate service, quoted with the project. On recipe shoots it is included.

Do we need a chef on our side?

No. The ideas, the recipes and the cooking can all sit with me. I have cooked since 2009, ten years of it professionally.

How long is a shoot?

The brief decides, not the clock. Anything from one session to several days, and you know the shape before you book.

Can we see the pictures on the day?

Yes. You see every frame on screen as it is shot, so anything gets fixed there and then.

Do you work outside London?

Yes, nationwide and internationally. Or the product comes to me.

When do I get the files?

The delivery date is agreed before we start. After a venue shoot, photos arrive within five working days and video the Friday after. Tight deadline? Tell me early.

Who owns the images?

You get the usage you need, in writing before the shoot. I keep the copyright as the author.
